Two crops, side by side — profitability, water, risk, market and scheme support in one decision view.

The TheAgriGrid Score (0–100) combines four factors: profitability (gross revenue minus cost of cultivation, 40%), water efficiency (lower water need scores higher, 30%), market trend (rising demand scores higher, 20%), and export potential (10%). Profitability uses MSP × average yield minus A2+FL cost of cultivation. Where official cost of cultivation is unavailable for a crop, the profitability component — and therefore the overall score — is withheld rather than estimated, and the card is marked "Score unavailable." Data is drawn from a versioned dataset (v1.0): MSP from PIB/CACP 2026-27, yield from the Directorate of Economics & Statistics, water bands from ICAR. Cotton yield is reported on a lint basis, which is not directly comparable to the grain/pulse yields here, so cotton's revenue and profit are not computed. Figures are illustrative of the method and should be verified against your local conditions before any decision.
