About TheAgriGrid

An editor's note.

TheAgriGrid is an independent editorial publication covering the business of Indian agritech. We write for the people who actually buy and operate agritech: FPOs, agri-input distributors, procurement heads at fresh-produce companies, and the analysts whose job is to figure out what is real and what is a pitch deck.

There is no shortage of agritech coverage in India. There is a shortage of agritech coverage that respects the reader's time and treats farming as a business rather than as inspiration. We aim to fill that gap.

What we cover

Three editorial sections, each with a specific reader in mind.

Innovation — Precision agriculture, drones, IoT, AI advisory, mechanization, and the technology layer reshaping how Indian farms operate. We focus on what is actually being deployed at scale, not what is being demoed at conferences.

Organic Farming — Certification, bio-inputs, sustainable practice, and the economics of organic in India. Written for FPOs and distributors evaluating the segment, not for lifestyle readers.

News & Market — Funding rounds, policy moves, M&A, and market trends. Less PR, more analysis. We tell you what a round means, not just that it happened.

The company directory

We maintain a curated directory of Indian agritech companies as a reference resource. Companies are selected by our editorial team based on operational scale, public reporting, and relevance to buyers. We are not paid for inclusion, and we link out to each company's official website rather than hosting contact details. To suggest a company for inclusion, write to us.

How we make money (and don't)

Currently, we don't. TheAgriGrid is bootstrapped and runs on a single editor's evenings. Over time, we expect to introduce sponsored briefings and possibly a paid subscription tier. We will not run programmatic display ads, native advertising disguised as editorial, or paid-for company listings. The wall between editorial and any future commercial layer will be hard and visible.

About the founder

TheAgriGrid is founded and edited by Prakhar Singh Baghel, an MBA in Marketing & Sales from BIM Trichy with a B.Tech in Electronics and Communication from SRM University. Prior experience as a Marketing Analyst in EdTech and a summer in Operations at SAIL Bhilai Steel Plant. The combination — marketing analytics, operations, and a quiet interest in how Indian agriculture actually works — is the editorial lens.
