Read this first: These are weekly snapshots, not real-time prices. We record the modal (most-traded) mandi rate for common paddy in each state roughly once a week from public AGMARKNET data. Prices move daily and vary mandi to mandi — always check your local mandi and the official portal before you sell. The dashed line is the ₹2,441 MSP for reference.

For the editor — how to update this weekly
This chart reads a single file: data/mandi-prices.csv. To add a new week:
  1. Open mandi-prices.csv in Excel.
  2. Add one new row: the week\'s date (YYYY-MM-DD) and the modal paddy price for each state — CG, MP, MH, UP, PB, HR.
  3. Look up prices from AGMARKNET (agmarknet.gov.in) or data.gov.in — commodity "Paddy(Dhan)(Common)".
  4. File → Save As → CSV (keep the same filename), then deploy the folder.
The chart redraws itself automatically. Leave a cell blank if a state has no data that week — the line will simply skip it.

Sources & method

Modal (most-traded) mandi prices for Paddy (Dhan) Common, compiled weekly from public AGMARKNET / data.gov.in market data. State figures are a representative modal rate, not an average of every mandi. MSP reference line: ₹2,441/quintal (Common paddy, KMS 2026-27, CCEA May 2026). Chhattisgarh farmers additionally receive an effective ₹3,100/quintal under the Krishak Unnati Yojana at state procurement, which is separate from open-market mandi rates shown here.
