Editorial Standards

How we work, what we publish, and what we will not.

TheAgriGrid is an independent editorial publication. This page describes how we make editorial decisions, how we treat companies and sources, and where the line sits between editorial and commercial content. We will update this page when our practices change.

Editorial independence

No company, investor, or advertiser has influence over what we publish or how we cover them. We do not accept payment for inclusion in any of our editorial content, including the company directory. We do not allow third parties to review our articles before publication.

The company directory

Companies featured in our directory are selected by our editorial team. Selection is based on operational scale, public reporting, relevance to Indian agri-buyers, and editorial judgement. We do not represent the companies listed, we are not affiliated with them, and we do not receive payment from them. Each listing links to the company's official website; for any business inquiry, readers should contact the company directly through that website.

We attempt to keep listings accurate but make no guarantee about the current status, claims, or services of any listed company. Inclusion in the directory does not constitute an endorsement or recommendation. Removal can be requested by any listed company by writing to editor@theagrigrid.com.

Sources and attribution

We attribute every factual claim to its source, either by name or by category (e.g., "the procurement head of an FPO, who asked not to be named"). We grant anonymity only when a source has a credible reason to require it and when the information cannot reasonably be obtained on the record. We do not invent sources or quotes.

Corrections

If we get something wrong, we correct it. Material corrections are noted at the bottom of the affected article with a dated correction note. Cosmetic edits (typos, formatting) are not flagged. To report an error, write to editor@theagrigrid.com with the article URL and the issue.

Conflicts of interest

If the editor or a contributor has any financial or advisory relationship with a company being covered, that relationship will be disclosed in the article. As of publication, the editor holds no equity, advisory positions, or paid consulting relationships with any company covered or listed on TheAgriGrid.

AI assistance

We use AI tools as research and drafting aids. All published articles are written and edited by a human, and all factual claims, source attributions, and analytical conclusions are reviewed by the editor before publication. We do not publish AI-generated content without substantive editorial review.

What we will not publish

We will not publish: paid editorial disguised as journalism; press releases reformatted as articles; speculation about private individuals; investment advice; content sourced from off-the-record conversations without explicit on-the-record confirmation; content that violates the privacy or safety of farmers, sources, or employees of any company.
